Salamas Bar

In Europe soccer is king - fans of more esoteric sports such as NFL and (American) football have to go out of their way to find a bar showing live events. One such spot is Salamas Bar in Friedrichshain, where you can catch the NFL on Sundays, and on Saturdays quite often college football.

Salamas Bar gets NASN, so showings are of course limited to There's a mixed audience of mainly Americans and Germans, and the bar is happy to stay open until the last guests are ready to go - perfect for those late-night (or early-in-the-morning thanks to the time difference) games.

How to get to Salamas Bar: closest U-Bahn station is Frankfurter Tor (U5 from Alexanderplatz towards Hönow). Go east on Frankfurter Allee and take a right (south) onto Niederbarnimstraße; the bar will be on the left-hand side about 4 or 5 houses down.
