Museums in Berlin

Whether high-brow art or low-brow erotica - Berlin has museums catering to every taste. What's more entrance is comparatively cheap and there are frequent guest exhibitions from institutions such as New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), so you can plan a trip centred around museums and galleries.

Berlin's big museums (those run by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin) offer free entry on Thursday evenings from four hours before closing time (special exibitions not included). See our page Berlin for Free for more details.
