U-Bahnhof Naturkundemuseum

Naturkundemuseum ("Natural History Museum") is a station on Berlin's U-Bahn line U6. Opened on January 30, 1923, it is close to the Natural History Museum. Between 1961 and 1990 it was a so-called ghost station.

Former names

Like many Berlin stations, Naturkundemuseum has undergone several changes of name, reflecting the city's turbulent history:

  • 1923 - 1951: Stettiner Bahnhof
  • 1951 - 1991: Nordbahnhof
  • 1991 - 2009: Zinnowitzer Straße
  • 2009 - present: Naturkundemuseum
