History

Weinmeisterstraße was opened in April 1930 with the completion of the then GN-Bahn (Gesundbrunnen-Neukölln-Bahn), now the U8. Between 1961 and 1989 it was one of the so-called ghost stations (Geisterbahnhöfe) as it was on the section of the U8 which ran through East Berlin. It was reopened in 1990.
