North-South S-Bahn

The North-South S-Bahn (Nord-Süd-S-Bahn) is one of Berlin's core S-Bahn routes, linking Gesundbrunnen on the northern half of the Ringbahn with Südkreuz via Friedrichstrasse, where it intersects with the Stadtbahn.

Running mainly in a tunnel, the North-South S-Bahn is the youngest of the S-Bahn's main sections and is the only significant piece of rail infrastructure in Berlin built during the Nazi era.
