Knesebeckstraße

Knesebeckstraße is a side street of the Kurfürstendamm, running from Hardenbergstrasse via Savignyplatz to the Lietzenburger Straße. It is named after a certain Karl Friedrich Freiherr von dem Knesebeck, a successful career officer of the 19th century Prussian Observation Army.

Useful shops include the Bücherbogen bookshop at Knesebeckstraße 27, beneath the railway arches. English books are available from Marga Schoeller Bücherstube at number 33. For parents with young children, "baby-walz" at Knesebeckstraße 56/58 offers fashionable and useful baby and infant clothes and goods.

Hotels include the Berlin Plaza Hotel, Hotel Chateau Berlin Hotel Otto and Hotel Gates. The Renaissance-Theater is located at the top end of the street at the intersection with Hardenbergstrasse.
