Flughafen Berlin-Brandenburg (Station)Flughafen Berlin-Brandenburg, currently under construction, will be the main station for the new Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport (BBI). It will open on June 3rd 2012, on the same day BBI is opened. It is scheduled to open in 2012 and will be served by S-Bahn lines S45 and S9 as well as regional trains, including a new Regional Express line RE9 connecting BBI with Potsdamer Platz and Berlin-Hauptbahnhof via Berlin, as well as some long-distance / InterCity connections. The station, built entirely underground, will have three platforms with six tracks. Two tracks will be used for the S-Bahn, which will terminate here, while the others will be used for regional and intercity trains. The station will be located directly beneath the main BBI terminal, providing the shortest possible route between station and check-in counters. Lines
