Der 7. Tibeter

Der 7. Tibeter (literally "The 7th Tibetan") is one of the few Tibetan restaurants in Berlin and probably the only one where a genuine Tibetan, chef Norbu Kambah, can be found in the kitchen. All dishes are created to original recipies using a variety of traditional Tibetan spices, and served to a background of Tibetan music. As well as soups, rice and potato dishes you can also order Tibet's famous "Momos", small dough sacs filled with vegetables or meat. Tibet's national drink, salted butter tea, is of course also available, in a special "light" version, which even then takes a bit of getting used to. For those who like it sweeter, try "Tsamba": roasted barley flour served with honey or chocolate.
