International Berlin Beer Festival
Internationales Berliner Bierfestival
The International Berlin Beer Festival takes place each year on the first weekend of August, with more than 240 breweries from 80 countries offering nearly 2000 different brands of beer. The festival is held on the Karl-Marx-Allee and claims to be the "longest beer garden of the world" at 2.2 kilometres (about a mile and a half) in length. Admission is free, though the beer is not: but it's reasonably priced. In 2007 the Festival will take place on August 3 - August 5.
