Oranke am SeeOne of the few beach bars not on the Spree, Oranke am See is the genuine thing: a bar (actually more of a beergarden) on a beach, on the shore of the small Oranke lake in Weißensee. A little way out of the centre, but a good choice for families. There's taped chill-out music playing, but don't let that distract you - sit in one of the beach chairs and watch the swans glide by.
