Located in Berlin's trendy Mitte, the Flea Market Arkonaplatz is popular with the young and alternative crowd. Here you can find stuff from the Sixties and Seventies which shops around Hackescher Markt charge a fortune for. There's also the usual range of clothing, bric-a-brac and furniture. Come in the morning for bargains: the market's clientel are not early risers.

Arkonaplatz itself is an attractive location, a wide square beneath chestnut trees surrounded by old buildings with several pleasant cafes for a ringside view of the action.
