Following replacement of a century-old bridge (we reported), the U2 will be reconnected between Gleisdreieck and Nollendorfplatz on March 19. Work was originally scheduled for completion in December 2006, but problems with the construction of the new bridge caused the completion date to be put back. 

This means the temporary line U12 as well as the partial extension of the U3 to Nollendorfplatz will be dropped and the network will return to its original state.
