The U-Bahn line U3 runs from Nollendorfplatz via Wittenbergplatz to Krumme Lanke in leafy southwest Berlin.

The U3 is one of the four "narrow profile" (Kleinprofil) lines.

Planned exension

The line's current southern terminus at Krumme Lanke is a few hundred metres short of Mexikoplatz Station on S-Bahn line S1. A planned extension to Mexikoplatz would improve the connectivity of the rail network in southwest Berlin, but budget constraints mean this extension will not be built in the foreseeable future.

Previously plans existed for an extension of the line south of Mexikoplatz as far as Machnower Schleuse, however these have been officially abandoned.

Former U3

Until 1993 "U3" was a short stub line running from Wittenbergplatz under the Ku'damm as far as Uhlandstraße
