Sonntags-Club

The Sonntags-Club is an East Berlin institution which started underground during GDR times as a meeting place and support community for the city's repressed gay and lesbian community. It has retained its character as a community centre, but is also a nice place to go for a coffee, tea or beer (at very reasonable prices too). It's a meeting place for various special interest groups, and on most evenings there is some kind of event or other going on. Occasionally there are women-only events, but mostly anyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
