Government and Authorities in Berlin

Berlin, as with any German federal state (Bundesland) is not short on government agencies of all types. While the average Berlin resident won't usually have to deal with any beyond the local Burgeramt, they're a useful source of information particularly for investors.

Although Berlin and the surrounding state of Brandenburg are separate entities, they work together on many issues, and have merged many non-core government agencies.

Note that not all agencies provide information in English.
