Clubs and Parties in Berlin

Berlin's club and party scene is famous the world over. The collapse of the GDR left a huge cultural and real-estate vacuum in East Berlin, one which was partially filled by the then young, hip and avant-garde techno scene, which occupied many of the spaces freed up by communism's departure. The Tresor, in the cellar of an abandonded bank just off the Leipzger Platz, is perhaps the most iconic.

You can catch the Penguin most nights at the city's hot spots, dancing / hopping / tripping / bopping / raving the night away to the latest crossovertrance-electrohouse-folktechno (or whatevet the flavour of the moment is) beats thumping out of Berlin's hippier-than-hip trend locations.
