New British Ambassador to Germany
The UK's Berlin representation is to be headed by a new ambassador, Sir Michael Arthur. He'll be replacing Peter Torry, who is retiring following a four year stint in the Wilhelmstraße.
It's not the first time in Germany for Sir Michael Anthony Arthur, who has four children (two sons and two daughters): between 1984 and 1988 he was First Secretary at the then embassy in Bonn. Previous posts include Paris, Washington and most recently the position of High Commissioner in India.
The British Embassy's website has more information on Sir Arthur.
