Savignyplatz is one of the S-Bahn stations on the Stadtbahn line which runs east-west through Berlin's city centre. It is located next to Savignyplatz itself, an attractive district not far from Zoo Station and the Kurfürstendamm. HistorySavignyplatz was constructed between 1895 and 1896 as the last station to be added to the Stadtbahn. The main entrance is on the Schlüterstrasse, while a smaller entrance is near to Savignyplatz itself. The station was modified architecturally in 1934 and has since been modernised several times and retains only some of its original character. ZoneSavignyplatz is in VBB fare zone A. Lines
