Berlin Zoo

Berlin's Zoo is Germany's largest Zoo and one of the oldest in Europe. It is also the zoo with the largest number of individual species worldwide.

Access

The zoo's official entrance is the ornate Elephant Gate in the Budapester Straße, but its busiest and most convenient entry point is on Hardenbergplatz opposite the Zoo Station.

Berlin's other zoo is the Tierpark, located in eastern Berlin: it has fewer species but a larger area and has more big animals, including elephants and big cats.
