Capital Beach

Despite its name the Capital Beach is short on sand. On the other hand it's located on a grassy section of the Spree's south bank opposite the Hauptbahnhof - in the middle of the city, but surrounded by green and very relaxing. With lounge and bar areas; serving Flammenkuchen (Tarte flambée - a sort of light pizza), salad and cake. Featuring discrete club music; Fridays Saturdays and Sundays there's a DJ doing House à la Café del Mar. Despite its location not a tourist trap, and fans of the German politcal scene will be happy to spot the odd politico.
